My journey has been like that of a rough, unshaped stone—broken, refined, and polished by the Master Craftsman through trials, prayers, and countless tender mercies. Over time, I’ve come to see myself not as something ordinary, but as a crystal, able to catch the light of the Savior and reflect it to others. My greatest desire is that His light shining through me will help others see that they, too, have divine potential to shine brilliantly in His kingdom.
I hold close to my heart the promise shared by President Thomas S. Monson: “Whom the Lord calls, He qualifies.” This truth has anchored my soul, reminding me that my imperfections do not define my capacity to serve. Every challenge I’ve faced has been like the gentle chisel of a sculptor, shaping my faith. Every answered prayer has been like the sun’s warmth, polishing my heart to radiate hope.

I know that Jesus Christ is the Light that never fades. His love is like a sunrise that pierces even the darkest night, and His Atonement is like living water that washes away burdens and gives us strength to rise again. Time and again, I’ve asked, “How can I show His light to others?” and the answer always leads me back to Him, His mercy, His teachings, and His perfect example.
As I prepare to serve in the Philippines General Santos Mission, I carry with me a torch lit by the flame of the gospel. This mission is my offering, my way of reflecting the Savior’s light through every word I speak and every act of kindness I give. Just as a single candle can bring light to a dark room, I trust that His light shining through me can touch hearts and lead them home to Him.

The Book of Mormon has been my Liahona, a divine compass that has guided me whenever I felt lost. Every time I’ve followed its counsel with real intent, it has pointed me toward the Savior’s love and peace.

I know that Heavenly Father lives and that His plan is perfect. I know that Jesus Christ is our Redeemer, the true Light that transforms simple souls into beacons of hope. My prayer is that through my service, I may reflect His light so that others, too, will see their divine worth and feel His redeeming love.
