Introduction
The Philippines Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will celebrate the 27th year of the National Family Week on 21-28 September 2019 with the theme '#BFF: Building Forever Families.'
The theme plays around #BFF which is a popular acronym for “Best Friends Forever.” To make the theme unique to the Church's family campaign, the acronym will have new definitions that will express the Latter-day Saint sentiment regarding families and appeal to people of other faiths who share the same beliefs.
#BFF: Building Forever Families
Building
“The onslaught of wickedness against our children is more subtle and brazen than it has ever been. Building a strong family culture adds another layer of protection for our children, insulating them from worldly influences.” –L. Tom Perry
Forever
“Thanks to God’s great plan of happiness, families can be together forever—as exalted beings. Our Heavenly Father declared, “This is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man.” Both of His objectives were enabled by the Atonement of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. His Atonement made resurrection a reality and eternal life a possibility for all who would ever live.” –Russell M. Nelson
Families
“The family is the most important organization in time or in eternity. Our purpose in life is to create for ourselves eternal family units.” —Joseph Fielding Smith
