REGISTRATION AND KIT DISTRIBUTION

Here are two files for the registration:

The PDF can be filled out on a computer before printing.

In order to save time, we recommend reproducing the blank form and asking your stake participants to manually fill out and sign each form, making sure the participant reads the waiver.

2. Registration Template Excel File.

This Excel file has been emailed to Stake Presidents of participating stakes.

All stakes are requested to please send by email the excel file on or before September 13 (initial cut off) with the information of every participant from the stake.

The actual filled out Registration Form and Waiver (one for each participant) will be submitted at the Area Office on Friday, September 20 at 5:00pm, by stake representatives in a briefing meeting with race organizers. The Kits will be distributed in the said meeting so the stakes can dispense the kits to the runners in their wards on Sunday, September 22, the Sunday before the race. Bishops or ward representatives may also attend the briefing meeting so they can also receive the kits for their ward participants.

Remember: no signed registration form and waiver, no runner’s kit. On the day of the race, the runners should wear the bib with their runner number. NO BIB, NO RUN.

AGE AND NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS

To allow more members of your stake to enjoy the 2019 Family Week BFF Color Run, we have increased the slot allotment to 195.

The 195 slots will also be for participants who are 6 years old and above. Infants, toddlers, and children 5 years old and below can still join but will be issued event wristbands where the name and number of the accompanying parent or guardian will be written in case they get separated. The parent or guardian will, of course, need to be registered and will be issued a kit/runner's bib.

Therefore, if a family of four is composed of the husband and wife plus two kids below 5, they will all need to register but will be issued 2 slots (2 kits for the parents) plus two wristbands, instead of four slots.

The rules are still the same:

1. Participants below the age of 18 need consent from a parent or guardian.
2. Participants 12 years old and below must be accompanied by a registered parent or guardian.
3. Registration/signing of the waiver is to be done individually, regardless of age.
4. No waiver, no kit or wristband.
5. Race day: no bib/wristband, no run.

OTHER CONCERNS

Some stakes may already have existing plans for their Family Week culminating activity on September 28 and may feel that sending a delegation of 180 will not be possible. Stake plans may conflict with the Color Run schedule from 5:00am to 9:00am, especially if said plans involve local community leaders and other opinion leaders with whom friendships are being cultivated. If this is the case, we will leave this up to the discretion of the stake president.

Composition of stake participants---while we are encouraging families as participants, parents should be the best judge if their children will can handle the 5 kilometer “run.” Other stakes are planning to send the youth and the YSA, with the other members of the stake coming as spectators.
