Seventeen-year-old Carrbi Blancaver of San Pedro 2nd Ward, Las Piñas Philippines Stake always wanted to pursue professional photography. However, he didn’t have the means to purchase the necessary equipment and had to make do with whatever was available.

“I started only with an old digital camera” he says, “then a DSLR-type one, and then could only switch to a mirror-less one.”
While in Mexico for the Tabernacle Choir World Tour, Mollie Shutt, a member of the Orchestra at Temple Square, felt a prompting from the Spirit. “I felt a strong impression that I should not sell my extra professional camera equipment, but that I needed to bring it to the Philippines,” which was the choir’s next stop in its world tour.
“I again had an overwhelming impression that I should not sell,” she related, “but that I needed to bring it and give it away. Someone was praying for a miracle.”

In Manila, Mollie’s friends in the choir helped lead her to someone who knew a young man who needed what she had: Carrbi. “I was told to go up the stage and meet Mollie after the concert” Carrbi recounts. Then, to his shock and surprise, she handed him “the kind of camera exactly what I needed.”
Mollie knows the Spirit guided her: “The Lord literally brought me and my extra equipment halfway across the world in order to bless the life of the recipient.”
For the unexpected blessing, Carrbi has this to say: “Thank you Sister Shutt for the camera! I am so grateful to have met you!”
