Introduction
Stakes and districts all over the country are set to take part in the 32nd National Family Week celebration. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints supports this nationwide initiative which falls on September 23-28, 2024. The National Family Week celebration is in accordance with Proclamation No. 60 signed in 1992 in which the state declared every last week of September as National Family Week in recognition of the sanctity and value of the family.
The theme for the 32nd celebration of National Family Week is “Pamilyang Tumutugon sa Pagbabago ng Panahon” (Families Responding to the Changing Times). Seen through the gospel lens, the best way to respond to the challenges of the changing times is by being true to eternal principles.
Consistent with this, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines is encouraging members to use #BFF and #BuildingForeverFamilies for the social media campaign. #BFF which is a popular acronym for “Best Friends Forever.” It is an expression to denote affection between friends. Many popular brands have carried the term in their marketing and social media campaigns, and it has retained its popularity as a go-to expression to describe friendship.
Building Forever Families
The concept of a united family that lives and progresses forever is at the core of Latter-day Saint doctrine. Love for family resonates with people around the world.
