Looking back at who I was before my mission, I see a profound difference. The word that best describes it is 'change.' I have changed! And I am proud to say that this transformation is because of Jesus Christ.
I had the privilege of serving in the best mission in the world—because it was the mission the Lord prepared for me. Through the inspiration of a prophet of God, I was called to serve in the Philippines Angeles Mission, among the wonderful people of Central Luzon. In that sacred calling, I witnessed miracles, felt the Spirit’s guidance, and saw lives—including my own—forever changed.

My mission taught me the power of perseverance. Amidst challenges, doubts, and fears, I learned to trust in the Lord’s plan, rely on His strength, and press forward with faith.
One of the most valuable lessons I received from my Mission Leaders was this: ''Don’t get stuck with the spiritual experiences you had on your mission; strive to have spiritual experiences and miracles even after your mission—because there is so much more.''

My mission was only the beginning. By continuing the holy habits and righteous routines I developed—prayer, scripture study, and covenant-keeping—I have continued to experience miracles as a returned missionary. Strengthening my faith didn’t end when I took off my missionary tag; it remains an ongoing journey of devotion and discipleship.

Elder Donald L. Hallstrom beautifully expressed this truth:
“Being a child of God is a miracle. Receiving a body in His image and likeness is a miracle. The gift of a Savior is a miracle. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is a miracle. The potential for eternal life is a miracle.” (“Has the Day of Miracles Ceased?” Liahona, Nov. 2017, 90)
Perseverance is more than enduring—it is consistently striving toward a goal, continuing to push forward despite obstacles. I will carry the lessons and love I have gained from my mission forever. May we all persevere, trusting in the Lord’s goodness and mercy, and continue seeking His miracles every day.
