Despite major changes in missionary service and the uncertainties during this time, young single adults from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Philippines still choose to serve missions in their pursuit of teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and contributing to this great work. Among them is 19-year-old Meleza Castro of Quezon City, Philippines.

Thousands of young Filipino Latter-day Saints and their parents tuned in to the special Missionary Fireside with the Philippines Area Presidency for the launch of the I Will Go, I Will Serve campaign premiered on May 16, 2021.
The “I Will Go I Will Serve” campaign is an initiative with the goal of having 4,600 Filipino full-time missionaries serving in the Philippines by December 2022.

'I am very happy to know that the Lord loves us perfectly despite our imperfections and weaknesses in life. We really need to trust in Him, which includes His will and way. Trust and have faith in him, for everything shall be made known and given unto you. Be part of the Lord's chosen battalion. You are called to serve and be with us. Young members of the Church have responded to the call to be one of 4600. They have enlisted in the youth battalion of the Lord to help gather Israel, which President Russell M. Nelson has referred to as 'the greatest work.'

They have heard the call, and they have responded, 'I will go. I will serve.' Young members of the Church of Jesus Christ in the Philippines continue to enlist in 'a great work.'
