When I was baptized on January 11, 2020, I felt peace and joy unlike anything I had experienced before. Through the gospel of Jesus Christ, I gained a greater understanding of my purpose and of Heavenly Father's plan for His children. I came to know that He loves each of us perfectly and desires our happiness.
As I learned more about the Savior and His gospel, I developed a desire to serve a mission and help others experience the same hope and peace I had found. Today, I am serving in the Philippines Davao Mission, where I have the privilege of sharing the message of Jesus Christ with others.
Missionary service has strengthened my testimony that the Savior changes lives. Each day, I witness people draw closer to Him as they learn of Heavenly Father's love and embrace the teachings of the gospel. Seeing individuals find hope, exercise faith, and come unto Christ has brought great joy to my life.
I have also learned that missionary service changes the missionary. As we trust the Savior, serve others, and follow His example, He helps us grow and become more like Him. While the work can be challenging, the blessings and lessons that come through faithful service are worth every effort.
I know that God's plan is designed to help His children return to Him. As we place our trust in Jesus Christ and do our best to follow Him, He strengthens us and works miracles in our lives. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and to help others come to know that they are loved by Heavenly Father and that His Son, Jesus Christ, is the way to lasting peace and happiness.
